I hear all this talk about reducing the deficit, and that means finding ways to cut the budget. But what I do not hear
ALONG WITH it is the URGENCY in which we have to create jobs in this country because without doing that, we will not have
the revenue coming in either that will help in reducing the deficit.
As well, all the talk about reducing the deficit is about cost-cutting. The Obama administration has spent trillions. But
on what, exactly? Bail-outs? What really happens to the money when we “bail-out” a corporation? How much has been paid back?
Will it be paid back? If the stock market is doing so well, the corporations first priority is paying that money back to Americans
who are suffering.
People lost their jobs supposedly because of what they were doing. Obama just told the Chamber of Commerce how corporations
should be “spreading the wealth around” (while telling Bill O’Reilly that he was not about doing that sort of thing). I do
believe corporations can always do more of that, but it IS up to them. It should not be legislated, and they should not be
forced to do it. You then have to decide how much is to much. And who is to decide that?
Jesus saw no problem with a man who hired laborers for his vineyard and paid them a penny a day, even though the man paid
the same amount to laborers he hired early in the day and other that only worked an hour at the end of the day. It was his
right to do so. “Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own?” Christ saw no problem with a man doing what he
wanted with his money.
What Obama wants to do in spreading the wealth may be appealing to those who have not, but legislating it is not the way
to go. Any such spreading of the wealth needs to be done voluntarily, and many have given much quite freely. Americans have
always given freely, but what I learned about giving, however, is that it is not enough to just give from your abundance.
That is easy to do. Giving out of the little you have is what much more difficult.
Sharing the wealth is not something that should be legislated. It is something that should be fostered. That is why we
have charitable donations in the tax code--to help do that. But I believe Obama has removed that as a taxable deduction. That
is where Obama is really missing the mark. He looks to legislate everything to death.
If you take the good out of “goodwill“, a person is only left with what they “will” do…
This president has only given lip-service to his creating jobs, and is using propaganda to convince people that the economy
is doing better. He points to activity in the stock market, but that is only artificial. It goes back to Obama saying this
will be a “jobless recovery”.
No one has every gotten this president to explain what that means, and why it should even be that way. If Obama WANTED
to create jobs, he could have done so very easily.
Lower the corporate tax rates so it is among the lowest in the world and corporations that have gone overseas will come
racing back. Scrap the health care bill and do it right, stop heaping other job killing policies--like the 1099 rules on small
business, and the economy will come ROARING back to life.
Obama has taken every opportunity to tell us about Bush’s failed policies. Obama’s policies are far, far worse. Not only
do they not work, he will do a great job trying to make people believe that they are.
Are you any better off today than you were before Wall St. fell? Do you see a job market that is has more jobs than people
to fill them yet? If not, how can you believe in what this man tells you?
