Welcome to the One Voice In America blog!

This is only one voice in America, among many voices.  The hope here is that it will be one voice that speaks differently, and will be a voice you will find worth listening to.  A lot is happening in America these days, and you will find a lot to read here about it.

You may find some of the opinions rendered by the author of this blog rather different, maybe controversial. However, I can assure you the words written here are ladened, impassioned feelings, but they are not emotional, rash words written hastily. They are written to present a different viewpoint that hopefully will challenge your thinking. It is not meant to offend, but as an American citizen of the United States of America, the author exercises his right to free speech. At a time when it is more popular to be politically correct, the words you find here are direct and look to make a point. A Note To Followers Of This Blog
I just saw that I had the highest number of people today checking this blog.  I do not know who any of you are, but I wish I knew, and I would sorely love to hear from you personally and what you feel about what I write here.  I think I have email addresses set up correctly, but I have not had the chance to fix the problem.

I do have a whole lot to say about things that are going on right now, and have sat down to write some offline, but with so many things going on, I have a hard time keeping up on it all because of my regular job and personal life.  It frustrates me to no end.

But if you would like to leave me a note about things I say here, it would surely help.  Just write to me at wmscottfrancis@q.com .  I would love to know who is accessing this site.  Thank you.

The Alaska Election

The Alaskan Miller-Murkowski election does not sit well with me. It has all the earmarks of yet another stolen election by the Obama administration--very similar to the Scott Brown election in Mass.

Her openness about listening to both sides of an issue is what Brown rode on, and shortly after going through the “indoctrination” process in Washington, Brown caved and sided with Democrats on one of his first bills. I can’t remember what it is right now, and do not have the time to research it out, but it was an important one that I remember he should not have voted for.

I fear the same will happen with Lisa Murkowski. With Alaskans being so proud of their Sarah Palin, it makes no sense to me that they would go with Murkowski, even if she says she is for drilling in ANWAR. If she ends up being a RINO, and gives in to pressure of the Obama administration, she could end up siding against drilling in ANWAR, and doing so could very well hurt America further.

Obama needs to protect drilling in ANWAR, but it is not for environmental reasons. It is political, although he will feign that it is environmental. If drilling was allowed there, prices would come down, and we need them to because prices are going up--and going up at a time when traditionally, they should be going down.

Obama talks the talk, but he does not walk the walk. He is dismantling this nation. He talks of America being strong, but he is systematically dismantling this nation. I can feel the dangers of it growing all around us. Between the Muslims and China, as well as our other enemies, we need to stay strong.

Despite the noble reasons for continuing the fight in Afghanistan, there is a growing feeling in me that we just need to get out of there. It is not about winning or losing the war. It is about our military might and will to fight being slowly siphoned away. Obama’s spending has meant cuts to our military at a time when we need to put more money there because of the dangers we are facing. I’ll say more about that in another post…about why we should get out of Afghanistan.

The Bush Interviews

I watched different portions of the various interviews people had with George W. Bush this past week. Bush was very easy going, avoided speaking of anything that would be controversial, particularly in saying anything about Obama directly. When asked about his not saying anything, he very politely said that he did not feel it was good to criticize the current administration.

Bill O’Reilly urged him the most from what I saw, stating that America is hurting right now, and that the American people would really love to hear what he had to say, and would welcome hearing a different perspective.

Bush was not about to do that, but Bush did say he might say more later on. I believe a lot of that depends on amount of strength the new members of Congress wields when they settle into their new positions.

What struck me, however, is how uncharacteristic it was of Bush to remain so silent.

Bush loves America. And, while in office, he was driven to do the things that he felt he had to do--even if it was difficult. His heart was always in the right place. He put America first.

Bush is not doing that now, however. He has withdrawn, and been very cautious with his words. It is not like him, and I think the reason why is that something is going on that the American people are not privy to.

Who knows what that is. I wonder if his life is not being threatened if he says something wrong, or comes off too strong, or, at least, Bush simply knows it would be too risky in this environment. Bush will say more when it is safer to do so. Right now, things are just too hot, too risky.

But America needs someone to speak out now. Obama needs to be confronted on what he is doing. Obama needs to be challenged--by the press, if no one else…

Catching Up To Obama

There has been discussion on television about the ability of Republicans to try to repeal Obama’s heath care. It was the main focus of the election. While that should be a major goal for the new House members to pursue, much more has to be done if we are to catch up with what Obama is doing.

Republicans may have taken back the House, and made things harder in the Senate, but there can be no mere return to business as usual in the Congress if we are to stop Obama. Obama may have lost some control in the Congress with this election, but it does not really matter because he is still very much in control of everything that goes on.

A large part of the reason for that is that Obama has his own “congress” silently working for him in all his czars. They work is far more effective than what Congress can accomplish because there is no internal strife and conflict between parties with them. They are unified in their vision and goals and work unrestrained. Democrats and Republicans will be embroiled in a constant battle between each other that makes for a much slower process overall.

Additionally, with Obama heading out on this overseas trip to India, his power is even further extended with him developing his global outreach. Congress will not effectively be able to compete with him at all unless they take some truly…radical…action themselves. And I doubt they can, or will, do that.

Obama has repeatedly stated that the problem with Republicans is that they have no plan for change of their own. Republicans will point to their return of sound fiscal policies to try to fix what it is Obama has done to this country, but it will not be enough. We know that, for Obama, if there is ever any kind of set back or resistance to what he is doing, he will always fight back harder.

To really stop Obama, the new members coming in will need to have a unified plan and goal that can overwhelm what he and his czars are doing to this country. Sadly, I do not see the new Congress having that kind of ability. Repealing health care will be only result in a total waste of time at this point.

America used to be a power nation, a force for any nation to really contend with. We have lost that power, that ability to call the shots because we knew what it was we were doing, and had a solid foundation about what was the right thing for us to do. We do not have that now. We are scrambling to find ourselves.

We have no real leader that can take America where it needs to go. Neither Sarah Palin, as popular as she is, nor the new House speaker John Boehner, as forceful as he is, will be enough forceful enough to do what America needs to change the course we are on with Obama.

The reason why is that, with Obama, we have a person that looks to “fundamentally change” America from the nation that it was to something altogether different. To counteract what he is doing, we must, temporarily, act forcibly in ways that we would not do otherwise, similar to George Bush creating the Patriot Act in order to fight the War on Terror.

The Patriot Act was a very risky policy that could threaten our most basic rights if the power it granted the President was misused. We need a leader that has a clear idea of what is needed right now that America can put its trust in to do the necessary things to put America back on track. To my mind, that means making some very difficult decisions that would not be popular with some Americans, or probably even allowed by Congress, otherwise.

Similarly, it will not be enough for Republicans to return us to the sound fiscal policies of the past. We need those policies to undo what has been done by Obama, but for the American people to really get behind Republicans, Republicans will need to a further plan of action of where it is they will take America after restoring fiscal responsibility. We do not have that.

So, between having the guts to do what has to be done to save America, and a plan of action to get us there, Republicans will only be fighting a constantly losing battle against Obama. I am not merely being negative here. I am being realistic. It is just how I see things at this point.

In saying these things, I will say I do have a sense about what it is that would need to be done, but I am not in a position to effect them, especially as quickly as they need to be implemented to counteract what Obama is doing, and I will not just post them here. I need some recognition that what I am saying here makes sense to someone…

After The Election

So, I was wrong about what some of my ideas of what may have happened in this election. But I am not concerned about being right. I am concerned about the worse-case scenarios and what the…enemy…may be thinking.

And Obama is our enemy now, by his own words, because he first named us as the enemy. He is not the uniter he said he would be. He said Republicans could now sit in the back of the bus. Uniters do not make divisions. They bring healing to those divisions.

Obama is about change, but it is change that HE wants--not what the American people want. He will talk to the people in his town hall meetings and make it sound like it is change the people want, but if we blindly allow him to bring those changes on without question, we will fall into a trap we cannot get out of.

Obama does so because:

1) he does not speak of the specifics of the changes are that he intends to bring to this country

2) what change he does talk of openly is done so to win over people now but in front of the cloak of the real agenda that is yet to come, and

3) he seeks to silence his opposition through the front of his having honorable aims for this country.

Already, this man is looking to pacify the anger against him and control the Congress by his urging Congress to do more to meet Obama more in the middle so work gets done, rather than simply blocking everything because of him.

If conservatives give in to that idea, Obama will continue to get his agenda through. They cannot and must not give in the pressure. They have to oppose Obama and oppose him strongly, and openly, and make their case before the American people exactly WHY they are opposing him: because his policies are not good for America.

I do not mean to come off sounding as simply acting like one very negative person. I do not normally see myself that way. But we have a president that cannot be trusted. I consider it foolish to underestimate what he might down at any given time. .

In this case, I have three different perspectives on the election, despite all the optimism about the conservatives throwing out Nancy Pelosi and Republicans regaining control of the House:

1) I found it very interesting that in New York and California, while Democrats won on the Senate side, they lost on the House side.

2) Similarly, in Neveda, while Harry Reid etched out a win agains Sharon Angle, Democrats lost on the House side.

3) Obama may have lost control of the House, and the Senate is back to being very much evenly divided, but he what he does have control of still is New York and California.

I find that last item very interesting, given that New York and California are the two most richest parts of the country.

Republicans fared well in the election, by my feeling is that we would be deluding ourselves if we assumed too much about it. Obama got the minimum of what he wanted, and that is qujite enough for him to continue his agenda and do further harm against this country.

This battle is far from over.

* Despite the wins conservatives got, Obama has control still in New York and California--two areas I am certain are very important to him. Does it not seem a little funny to you that in those two states, Republicans won on the House side, but lost significantly on the Senate side? That was not by accident. It was by design.

* Nancy Pelosi was sacrificed to help appease the masses, but Obama still has Harry Reid and control in the Senate, and that despite the election fraud we saw taking place in Nevada. Obama also still has Barney Frank and Barbara Boxer to help him.

* We still have to work around the power that SEIU has, and stay concerned about the goings on of Acorn, even though they have fallen off the radar screen.

* Eric Holder is still the Attorney General, and we have seen his how even-handedly he metes out justice in this country.

* Obama still has his czars in place working to control every aspect of what is happening in America. They work silently in the background while Obama weaves his spells in the foreground.

* People need to think differently about the economy. It is not a problem that was caused by the Republicans. It was bought about on the Republican watch so Obama could lay the blame with them, but it came about as a result of policies started by Clinton and Democrats. Barney Frank and Maxine Waters told us Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were fine, even though everyone else could see the writing on the wall with them. The economy is not going to “bounce back”. It will come back when Obama is ready for it to.

* Obama gave Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac a blank check. No one questioned this, and I still wonder why exactly it was done. But it looks as if it was because Obama was not going to fix the problem. He was going to allow it to get worse.

* The banks are still not lending money, and that is because Obama still has a firm hold of Wall St.

* Obama wields a lot of money that I am certain is hidden away in slush funds. Let us not forget about the $20 billion BP agreed to set aside for victims of the Gulf oil spill that was supposed to go to victims of it and cleaning up the mess there. Have businesses gotten the money they felt they deserved for the damage that was done to them? How much of that money has really been spent? Probably about as little of it as the stimulus money has been used to create jobs in this country.

* Obama still maintains his ability to sway world opinion his way.

* George Soros remains a hidden factor in what happens here in the U.S. and the world. We would do well to bring this man and his activities more out in the open.

* There is still the Muslim influence and their wanting to see Sharia law instated here in America, and how friendly Obama is with those who were our enemies.

* Terrorism is not a war to be won with Obama. It is something he only seems to contend with when he absolutely has to. To me, it is something that is very orchestrated according to the needs at hand. Just pay closer attention to when certain events take place.

The election is over. Because of my work, it has been very difficult for me to get as involved with the tea party movement as I would have liked. I do not worry about that. I have elected, instead, to devote what free time I have making my case about Obama on this blog.

I am working on a book to further state my beliefs about where it is America needs to go. I now intend to go and formally join the Republican party. I am not content with the election results. With Obama having gotten the most essential and toughest parts of his agenda through, Obama can now afford to take an easier stance. He is changing his tune now to get Congress to find more “common ground” with him.

This is not a thing of hate with me for Obama. It is one of ideas, of challenging what Obama tells us, of trying to put out there a different point of view, a different perspective for people than just the Obama rhetoric. I do not know exactly how I can best do that, but I now feel compelled to somehow step up and do more than I have…
