Welcome to the One Voice In America blog!

This is only one voice in America, among many voices.  The hope here is that it will be one voice that speaks differently, and will be a voice you will find worth listening to.  A lot is happening in America these days, and you will find a lot to read here about it.

You may find some of the opinions rendered by the author of this blog rather different, maybe controversial. However, I can assure you the words written here are ladened, impassioned feelings, but they are not emotional, rash words written hastily. They are written to present a different viewpoint that hopefully will challenge your thinking. It is not meant to offend, but as an American citizen of the United States of America, the author exercises his right to free speech. At a time when it is more popular to be politically correct, the words you find here are direct and look to make a point. To get any statement’s full meaning, it will be important to read the entire passage to see it in its full context and understand its meaning.

If you like what is said here, please spread the word about it to your friends, or feel free to create links to it on your own web page.

Bailed Out Bank Profits
How is it that bailed out banks can so quickly show profits of billions of dollars?  To me, this does not seem right.  But then, I do not know the banking business to know if it is or not.  I guess I have just gotten very cynical of anything going on in Washington these days.  Still, I throw these things out--not to accuse--but for others to take note of that might be able to do more about it than I.

Along those same lines, Washington might be tossing around a lot of money these days, but if they cannot keep track of a missing 2 trillion dollars, I think the Federal reserve really deserves to be audited as Ron Paul had suggested!  The American public should know where all this money has been going!

An Additional Note About The CIA
I forgot to mention one other thought I had about Holder's investigation of the CIA.  His doing so can only have a negative affect on employees there who may well decide that it would be better to leave the CIA than stay.  With Obama pushing his private army, it would seem to make some sense to me that he would like to do away with the CIA altogether, and this excuse of an investigation would certainly help to do that...

Obama, the CIA, and California Wild Fires
Listening to the news this morning about what Cheney had to say about Eric Holder supposedly acting on his own concerning his investigating the CIA:
    1) I agree with Cheney that Holder cannot be acting on his own.  Obama is running the country, and if wanted to put a stop to it, he could.  He is the chief law enforcement officer.  But as he has done before, he separates himself from the problem.  I suggest he put a stop to it immediately...because when the American people flat-out tell them through the town hall meetings that they do not want nationalized health care, and he continues pushing it, he is not pushing it for our own benefit.  With the census consisting of a 23-page questionaire that we must fill out on pain of a $2000 fine, his push for a national private army just as powerful as the military, among other things, he is the one that needs to be investigated!
    2)  I find it interesting that with all the spending in Washington--trillions of dollars--Obama has not bothered to help states--primarily California, more than any--out of their situation.  And in the middle of a major recession, farms there cannot grow their crops all to save a little fish.  With America's great technology, you would think they could come up with a way to deal with the problem, but instead, we allow this to happen in one of America's greatest states.  Finally, I find it rather interesting that when California has had such horrendous wild fires that have contributed to their economic crisis, right after California manages to pass a budget, the wild fires there spring up yet again and burn over 1,200 homes.  There were reports that past fires there had been intentionally set, and I wonder about it now.  I wonder if Acorn, or some other group that Obama supports, could be behind it.  Do you think Obama will visit the devastation?  Will California get Federal money for the damage?  Probably not...

What is happening to America?
I do not consider myself any kind of patriot.  I have not been in the military, and I do not own or put out a flag on the 4th of July.  But I do find myself caring greatly these days about what is happening in America, have been ever since 9/11, and have a lot of concern about the direction this nation is heading.  And I will tell you that cannot be limited just in regards to the direction Barack Obama is taking us.  The direction this country is also very dependent on you, and each and every person in this country, along with businesses, non-profit organizations and foundations.

My way of looking at things is that society is the total sum or difference of an equation that is infinitely long, and itself comprised of infinitely long other equations which are the total sum and difference of every person and entity within that society.  Hence, how society is doing is dependent on each and every aspect of that society.  It behooves us, then, if our society is to grow and prosper at all, the total has to be titled toward the positive side, and the more it is, the better it does.

Obviously, it would be impossible to examine each and every part of society.  It is dependent on what each one of us does, and that, ultimately, has some influence on even the minutest other parts.  That means we can all have some affect on how the nation does as a whole, and it behooves us to do those things that will help it along.

America has been amazing in what it has accomplished.  Up until now, we have been largely fortunate to have leaders that to some respect held onto to those early values shared by our fore-fathers.  But today, we find ourself with a president that does not seem to share those self-same values.  To me, he is looking to change this nation to something altogether different from what it once was.

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with me on that assessment--if we love this nation in which we live and are citizens of--we have come to a place in this nation's history where we need each citizen to do whatever they can to help tilt that infinitely huge equation to the positive side.  If we do not, we may well find ourselves loosing this nation--this nation that has been the shining example to all the world of what good can be done.

I will share with you why I feel we are in danger of losing this nation in my next post, and I welcome you comments to me about it.  Regardless of how you yourself may stand on it, and other things that I will share here, I hope, and would ask, that you keep this place where ideas and feelings are expressed in a respectful manner.  Speak your piece, even if it be in anger, but let that anger not be directed toward other people who post here.  Say what you believe, and if you believe in what you say, let it be respected by others.

I welcome you to this place.  Thank you for coming, and please...come back again.
